Fabiola B. Meléndez Olmo, Ph.D., serves as a policy analyst at Grupo Nexos, supporting initiatives to expand access to health services, promote social-emotional well-being, and foster the positive development of children, youth, and their families.
In her role, Fabiola advances cross-sector collaborations, designs strategic funding opportunities, and drives community-based initiatives. Her experience includes research, community psychology, and public policy analysis. She earned her Ph.D. in Social Community Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico, where she researched the intersection of social behaviors, media, and communications. She previously completed a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the same institution.
As a policy expert, she integrates perspectives such as historical trauma, socioeconomic conditions, child development, and restorative justice, alongside evidence-based decision-making and trauma-informed approaches.
